Schoolkeeper

Privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-18

Schoolkeeper keeps your homeschool record. That record includes information about your children, so we have tried to say plainly what we hold, where it lives and what you can do with it.

Who this is for

Schoolkeeper is for adults. You are the parent, and you are the user. The app is not directed at children under 13, and there are no child accounts. Children do not sign in or enter anything.

What we keep

You enter your children's information, and it belongs to you. We do not add to it, and we do not use it for anything except running Schoolkeeper for your family.

Where it lives

Your data is stored on Loomfield's server, a DigitalOcean droplet in the United States. Every connection to it is encrypted (HTTPS), and we take nightly backups to a second machine.

Who else sees it

We have no third-party analytics and no advertising software in the app or on this site. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it, except with the processors needed to run the service. Each sees only what it needs:

Share links

You can create a share link for an export or a record. Anyone who has the link can open it, with no sign-in, until it expires. Share it only with people you want to see it.

Exporting and deleting

In the app, you can export everything as JSON plus your photos. You can also delete your account. Deleting removes all of your family's data and photos from our systems within 24 hours. Backups roll off within 30 days after that.

Cookies

We use two cookies. One is a session cookie that keeps you signed in. The other is a first-touch source cookie that remembers where you came from, so we know which of our pages brought you here. We set nothing else.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app or by email.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States.
